SR 408 RAMP CLOSURE

Posted By: Brian Hutchings - 407-383-5817
Release Date:Friday, October 02, 2009

Effective From:Saturday, October 03, 2009 12:00 PM - Friday, October 09, 2009 12:00 PM

Motorists are advised that the eastbound State Road 408 (Spessard Lindsay Holland East-West Expressway) on-ramp located at Anderson Street and Crystal Lake Drive is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. Saturday, October 3, through 5 p.m. Sunday, October 4, while crews conduct road work.

Motorists are always urged to use caution in the construction area and are reminded that speeding fines are doubled when workers are present. Weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work.

The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority is currently widening SR 408 from Crystal Lake Boulevard to Oxalis Avenue. This work is part of a $600 million, 16-mile road widening and plaza renovation planned from Clarke Road to State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay).
